Suggested Anki Settings

Because we are building a language network in your brain, there is deliberate repetition of words across our phrases, this means you can set the Anki retention value to lower than you would for subjects such as physics or maths.

These are our recommended deck options (which you can find via the 'deck options' link in the app)

  • FSRS: switch this on
  • Retention limit: 85 - 90% (this will lower your workload)
  • Deck gather / display order: set to Sequential (ascending), as we order our cards from easy to hard.

See Anki manual: deck options for detailed explanations, there are also plenty of YouTube videos telling you how to optimise the settings on Anki

Need to sync across devices?
